Years ago MsIndependent hosted an event called Fashion and Food where we brought in a small boutique to shop on the restaurant’s patio while we enjoyed food, cocktails, and on those rare occasions in Houston - the cool weather. Fast forward to now and Batanga has installed a beautiful umbrella art installation on their scenic 3,600 sq ft patio, and they’ve added impressive brunch options to their menu. So what’s for brunch? I’m glad you asked. Just try not to drool directly onto your phone, but if you do, no judgement...the food is amazing.

Red Snapper Ceviche - Leche de Tigre, Mango Puree, Red Onion, and Tomato

Mac & Cheese

Cocktails and Smoked Trout “Montadito” Tomato, Garlic Rubbed Baguette, & Arbequina Olive Oil

Grilled Octopus Served with a Tomato-Based Vinaigrette

Buteco Waffles made with Brazilian Cheese Roll Batter and Served with a Guava and Butter Sauce

The Spring Rolls are served in an old cigar box - just one of the many special touches and attention to detail that makes Batanga's Brunch so enjoyable.

Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays, 11 am to 3 p.m. Take advantage of the beautiful Spring weather and enjoy a drink with an umbrella, under the patio umbrellas.
