Last weekend Black Girls Who Brunch ( a.k.a Erika Harrison) presented Beauty and the Brunch with Mo Knows Hair powered by Sally Beauty. The event was catered by the one and only Chef Vicky of Tha Fat Girl Food Chronicles, and featured beauty products and giveaways from Sally Beauty. This is the second brunch event from Black Girls Who Brunch, and just the same as her first event in the summer of 2017, this one sold out in only a week! If you weren't able to get a ticket here is what you missed.

I know very few people care, but I am obnoxiously obsessed with details at events, and was thoroughly fascinated with the table settings. I was supposed to be taking behind the scenes photos of people, which I did, but I also snuck in about 20 different shots of these tables.

With so much excitement surrounding the event guests arrived early. A line quickly formed to get in.

The menu featured a buffet style selection of either sweet potato fosters stuffed French toast, or seafood stuffed French toast with crispy seafood cake. Mimosas were of course offered as well.

Monica of Mo Knows Hair briefly gave the ladies info on what they could expect from their swag bags, details on the items that were raffled off, and details about another event that Sally Beauty would be hosting later that day. I've attend my fair share of events and seen tons of swag bags, but this is by far the most impressive swag bag I've ever received. Check out these full sized products from Sally Beauty.

Guests were also given movie passes and promotional goodies for the movie Acrimony that premieres this weekend.

This was such an awesome event. Seriously Erika knows what she's doing, so be sure to follow her and sign up for the Black Girls Who Brunch newsletter to be the first to get your ticket at her next sold out brunch.
