Come out with Ms. INDEPENDENT as the Houston Ballet II joins forces with the Ballet Orchestra of University of Houston’s Moore’s School of Music for a special one-night only performance at the Moore’s Opera Center on the University of Houston campus on Friday April 11.
The program will feature George Balanchine’s iconic 1934 masterwork, Serenade, set to Peter Illyich Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C, Op. 48, performed live by the Ballet Orchestra of the University of Houston under the baton of conductor Franz Anton Krager. Also on the program is David Lichine’s joyous, comic classic, Graduation Ball, set in a fashionable Viennese finishing school for girls during the 1840s.
